MADNESS!
Hey everybody!
its kimberly. lifes just been going going going like usual. we are getting really comfortable with the people and feeling like a part of the community which is great. also, this week we are gonna be exhausted... oh, before i forget...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! We are soooo grateful to have all you wonderful people writing to us and thinking and praying for us...oh how we appreciate you all. so, back to what i was saying, we are gonna be exhausted because the kids, oh the kids have been hanging around sooooo much. today i wanted to surprise andy so i came upstairs to make him a homemade apple pie and had 3 kids running around making messes with me. it turned out pretty cute though, the girls made hearts to bake on top of the pie ( 2 hearts, one for andy and one for me!) they were sooooo excited to surprise him. they kept asking, "whens he gonna come up?" and "he cant come up, is he coming up?!" it was hilarious and they are very cute. so, i told them they could come by at 7:00 and i would give them pie before we all went to the 7:30pm service at church tonight. a great way to get them excited for church. then, this friday andy and i are having a sleepover with some girls and then there are gonna be some boys over to watch movies. it will be like 8-12 year olds....lots of kids from camp. so, we are swamped with kids running everywhere. but, i think its a good thing. just pray that we can make adequate rules and boundaries so that we dont get run over. some of us (cough cough ME) have a hard time saying no sometimes. so, that is what our weekend will look like. we wont have to work much. we are going over to my friends house for thanksgiving and her daughter flew in from fairbanks and really wants to work in the store this weekend so she will probably work all day friday and then maybe half day on saturday so andy and i have a pretty smooth weekend. its much appreciated, for sure. well, i hope you all are doing well and enjoying the beginnings of a great holiday season. keep us in your prayers and we will be thinkin of all you guys tomorrow when we are away from family and friends. thank you all for contributing so much to andy and i's lifes.

Dont worry... the only boy that we KNOW is coming at this time keeps asking to spend the night... it WONT be happening so you all dont have to worry about it. Kimberly (as she mentioned) cannot say no to them, but I will be saying no as i have done about 20 times today. I would love to, i dont want to be exclusive with just the girls, the guys need love too, i just cannot deal with the stress of what could happen after we go to sleep. So i will cover my butt by not dealing with it.
Andy, You are sounding like an old guy here. (not that that's a particularly bad thing). So does Andy walk the boys home after the movie or do the parents come and pick them up? Hey, Happy first Thanksgiving as a married couple!
Hello to the wild and adventure-some newlyweds. It won't be for long that you will be the 'newest' weds in the clan! Your adventure sounds so . . . excellent. Hey, I googled you and you came up in the #1 position. Now that's moving up in the world. I clicked on it, and there you were. If you need some ideas for classroom manage-ment ie. 'the man in the tent with his camel outside . . . well part of him anyway, or 'the man and his wife in the 'tent' with all of the little kids outside . . . or part of them anyway, just call on Thistle. I know you are enjoying their company, and the time is passing quickly.
In case you don't know who Thistle is, I'll give you a clue. Thursday, we will miss having you at our Thanksgiving table. Andy's parents will not be there either but other family and friends will be there. Happy Thanksgiving! . . . with Love, Thistle
yeah pops your rubbing off on me... ill be taking them home, at probably 7pm when they come over ill be plugging the vehicle into the block heater then probably 30min before they leave ill be starting it so i can get it warmed up. then ill run them home... all in all i think the only one i might be bringing home one boy (the one i was talking about) i dont know what the turnout is going to be like. and he is pretty close so i might just walk him home. i wont just be kicking them out.
Hi Kim & Andy - Happy Thanksgiving! I've been reading your blogs & enjoyed you pictures too! Sounds like you have your ups & downs but are doing well over-all. Just stay close to the Lord & to each other. You'll have to blog about what Alaskans eat for Thanksgiving. I imagine turkey is not readily available in Tanana! I love you both & am praying for you. Love & Hugs, Bonnie PS my username is already established on my grandkids blog - hence GrammaBonnie
